OEPTC Requirements
In case of eligibility, you must apply for Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit usually covered under “Canada Pro Deposits”. For being eligible you must meet any one of the below conditions before 1st of June 2024.
- You must be 18 years of age.
- You must have/had a spouse or common-law partner.
- You must be a parent living with or previously lived with a child.
Additional Requirements
Also fulfill any one of the following requirements:
- In 2022, you made rent or property tax payments on your primary Ontario house.
- In 2022, you covered the expense of living in a public or nonprofit long-term care facility in Ontario.
- In 2022, you paid your heat or electricity payment at your principal residence on a reserve.
- You opted for college, university or private school residence in Ontario in 2022.
NOEC Eligibility Requirements:
The first eligibility condition for Northern Ontario Energy Credit is the same as OEPTC. Northern Ontario Energy Credit is also a sub-program of Canada Pro Deposit.
Additional Conditions
These are some additional conditions to be eligible
- You must be a Northern Ontario Resident on December 31, 2022.
- Primary Residence’ s tax must be paid.
- You must have paid accommodation costs of public care home.
- Electricity and other bills must be paid during reservation.
OSTC Eligibility
Ontario sales tax credit is a nontaxable benefit for the people of Ontario to assist in covering day to day expenses. This program is coordinated as Canada Pro Deposits. To qualify for any of OSTC, you must meet one of the following criteria before June 1, 2024:
- 19 years or older
- Have or previously had a spouse or common-law partner
- A parent who lives or previously lived with your child
Alberta Child and Family Benefit
Canada Pro Deposits in Alberta requires following conditions to be fulfilled:
- You must be ap parent of a under 18 children.
- You must have Alberta residency.
- Income Criteria must be fulfilled, and tax return must be files.
Applying Procedure For Canada PRO Deposit:
If you want to apply for OTB program, your annual tax return must be filed, and On-BEN application must be completed and submitted. For ACFB and to receive Canada Pro Deposits, you must have filed income tax return and qualify for CCB.
Information of Payments
The amount of OTB payments depend upon the following particulars:
Age, income, residence, size of family and rent amount. Payments are given on the 10th of each month. For Northern Ontario energy Credit, if you are single, you can receive maximum $172. Families can receive #$265.

Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit
For 18 to 64 years old $1194 amount is maximum, people of 65 age and above can receive $13609. $265 for reserved and $25 for university or college residency.
Payment Dates of Canada PRO Deposit:
ACFB payments are coordinated by CRA. You may receive payment by mail or direct deposit into a bank account usually on the 10th of each month. For non-working people base component is available and for working people if income exceed $2760, working component is available.
